This is more than a management position—it is a leadership opportunity designed for someone who aspires to grow into the role of Director of Food & Beverage . The Assistant Director will work alongside the current Director, gaining firsthand experience in every aspect of club operations while preparing to assume departmental leadership as part of our long-term succession plan.

Position Summary

The Assistant Food & Beverage Director plays a key leadership role in overseeing the daily operations of Beachwalk Club's food and beverage program. This individual will partner closely with the Director of Food & Beverage and Executive Chef to ensure exceptional member experiences, efficient operations, financial accountability, and a culture built on hospitality, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in directing all Food & Beverage operations, including the restaurant, bars, banquet and private events, and member functions.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop Front-of-House leadership and service teams while fostering a culture of accountability and hospitality.
• Partner with the Director of Food & Beverage and Executive Chef to execute operational initiatives, menus, promotions, and service standards.
• Maintain exceptional service quality and ensure every member receives a memorable dining experience.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, inventory management, purchasing, scheduling, labor controls, and cost management.
• Monitor financial performance, analyze operational reports, and identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and company policies.
• Assist in planning and executing club events, wine dinners, member programming, and private functions.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, and staff development initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with members through visible leadership, responsiveness, and proactive engagement.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when assigned and confidently lead operations in the Director's absence.
• Contribute ideas and strategic initiatives that continue to elevate the Beachwalk Club experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in Food & Beverage or Hospitality Management.
• Private Club, Resort, or Luxury Hospitality experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership ability with a passion for mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong financial acumen including labor management, inventory control, budgeting, and cost analysis.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, member-focused environment.
• Proficiency with restaurant POS systems and hospitality software. Experience with Club Essentials is a plus.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as business demands.
