What You'll Do

• Provide advanced nursing care for adult ICU patients with diverse diagnoses including cardiac, neuro, surgical, and medical conditions.
• Manage ventilators, post-intubation care, and assist with invasive procedures such as CVL management, EVD drains, and art line management.
• Monitor and titrate vasoactive medications, perform patient assessments, and respond to emergent situations, including stroke and respiratory failure.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including RT, phlebotomy, and charge nurses to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Support unit operations and patient flow, including float assignments to PCU or MedSurg.
• Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and training requirements, including passing an EKG competency exam.

What You Need

• Required:
  • Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible for licensure
  • 2+ years ICU experience in adult surgical and medical ICU settings
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
  • Skills: Vent management, stroke care, invasive line management, ventilator troubleshooting, IV med titration
• Preferred:
  • Experience with post-CABG and open-heart surgeries will be considered a plus
