What You'll Do

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency care to diverse patient populations, including infants to the elderly.
• Manage patients with various acuity levels, including MedSurg, ICU, and trauma cases.
• Perform ventilator management, critical care drips, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and hemodynamic line management.
• Assist with procedures such as splinting, stroke interventions, and medication administration, including TPA.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including hospitalists, ED physicians, RTs, and charge nurses.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and documentation protocols in Meditech Expanse EMR system.
• Support unit operations as needed, including charting, patient assessments, and participating in orientation.

What You Need

• Required:
• Valid RN license for Louisiana
• Minimum of 2 years ED experience with critical care skills
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI or MOAB certifications
• Proficiency in ventilator management, cardiac rhythms, and emergency procedures
• Preferred:
• Experience with stroke protocols and TPA administration
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to arrival
• Strong teamwork skills and professional demeanor
