Telecommute Software Application Specialist

As a Software Test Engineer at Power Solutions, you will partner with engineering, IT, and operations to develop highly-automated test systems and the backend systems to support them. In this role, you will report to the Operations Software Team Lead. Develop desktop and web-based software for new/existing applications, utilities, and backend systems • Take a systems-based approach to designing new test systems

• Analyze schematics to ensure test systems appropriately stress important parts of each product’s functionality
• Travel Requirements: At most, up to 5% of Travel is required. Average amount of travel time has been less than one week per year.

BS in Engineering field (Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering)• 2 years of job-related work experience

• NET-based language
• Ability to program clean object-oriented code using Python
• Understanding of networking and the latest web development technologies (e.g. Ability to work with an international team – both inside and outside of the company

Ability to analyze an electrical schematic and understand nature of designed circuits • Experience designing high-level automation including robotics, machine vision systems, and use of industrial fieldbuses Time is equally split working in an office- and lab-based environment • This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
