Its comprehensive service offering includes HR management, payroll and tax administration, risk management, and employee benefit administration. Role Description The Benefits Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Metairie, LA. This role is responsible for administering employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life, and supplemental insurance, as well as retirement plans and related offerings. Day-to-day tasks include processing enrollments, changes, and terminations, responding to employee and client inquiries, and ensuring accurate data entry and documentation. The Benefits Specialist will assist with FMLA and other leave administration, coordinate with insurance carriers and vendors, and support compliance with applicable laws and company policies. The role also involves preparing benefits-related communications, supporting open enrollment activities, and collaborating with HR, and payroll teams to deliver a consistent, high-quality service experience. Qualifications Strong benefits administration skills, including experience managing health, dental, vision, life, and retirement plan programs. Working knowledge of COBRA, State Continuation and other relevant federal and state leave laws. Experience with insurance-related processes, including enrollments, claims support, carrier liaison, and policy interpretation. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain complex benefits information clearly and professionally. Proficiency with HRIS or benefits administration systems and strong attention to detail in data entry and recordkeeping. Ability to meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site team environment. Familiarity with payroll and tax administration concepts and their connection to benefits is a plus. Associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience; HR or benefits certifications (e.g., SHRM, CEBS) are advantageous. Starting pay is between $26.45 - $28.85 per hour.
