Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Exciting opportunities are available for passionate Special Education Teachers seeking contract roles in a dynamic school setting near Gypsum, CO. Two distinct positions are available, each focused on supporting students with diverse learning needs and making a lasting impact in their academic and personal development.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Previous experience working with early childhood or middle school students in special education settings
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Ability to adapt instruction for students with a variety of learning challenges
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Position Details:

• Early Childhood Special Education Teacher:
  • Serve PreK students (ages 3-5), managing a caseload of 10-20 students across multiple sites within the district
  • 40 hours per week, 7:30 am – 3:30 pm; contract dates 8/10/26 – 5/28/2027
  • In-person position only
• Middle School Special Education Teacher:
  • Serve students in grades 6–8 (ages 10-14), managing a caseload of approximately 22 students
  • 40 hours per week, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm; contract dates 8/10/26 – 5/28
  • While in-person presence is preferred, virtual arrangements may be considered for exceptional applicants

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to each student’s needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
• Assess and track student progress, adapting strategies as necessary
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
