Role Overview

Apply your criminal law expertise to help improve next-generation AI systems through high-quality legal analysis, writing, and feedback. This remote contract role focuses on translating real-world legal knowledge into clear, accurate material for legal AI model training. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze criminal law materials, including statutes, case law, court filings, and case documents, to identify relevant insights.
Review and edit complex legal documents for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with established standards.
Summarize legal arguments, decisions, and procedural issues for use in legal AI model training.
Translate intricate legal concepts and reasoning into concise, accessible language.
Provide actionable feedback on legal content to support accuracy and real-world applicability.
Keep current with criminal law developments and apply updated knowledge to project work.
Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams through digital platforms to meet project milestones.

Qualifications

JD or LLM from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
Substantial criminal law practice experience, especially in BigLaw or major law firm settings.
Demonstrated legal research, analysis, writing, and editing experience in criminal matters.
Ability to review and synthesize large volumes of legal information with exceptional attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain nuanced legal issues clearly.
Sound ethical judgment and commitment to high professional standards.
Interest or experience in legal technology and willingness to use digital tools for remote collaboration.

Work Terms

Remote contract engagement.

Compensation

$140 to $400 per hour.
