• Pay Rate: $26.00-$28.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with potential overtime if systems go down

Job Summary

As an HVAC Engineer , you will be responsible for maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment for complex commercial HVAC systems by conducting proactive performance testing and ongoing scheduled maintenance. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign tasks to team members. Ensure all duties are done in a timely manner.
• Install, repair, adjust, service and maintain electric or pneumatic control systems used for building heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment, including calibration of related instruments, gauges, and control components.
• Inspect and conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and identify the best course of action for equipment modifications.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
• Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.
• Work within broad guidelines and policies.
• Explain difficult or sensitive information.
• Maintain mini-splits and traditional splits (2-ton - 4-ton units).
• Perform VFR maintenance and rooftop unit maintenance.
• Perform chiller with cooling tower maintenance.
• Maintain heat pumps.
• Perform general maintenance tasks as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) including changing filters, fan belts, and condensate units.
• Work across 3 different buildings, driving to and from each building.
• Daily documentation of work done will be required.

Preferred Skills

• If candidate has their own tools, that would be helpful
• Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma required
• In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered
• Driver's License required
• Universal License required

Required Experience

• 3-5 years of job-related experience

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Candidate will work across 3 different buildings and drive to and from each building
• Company vehicle will be available, or personal vehicle can be used
• Uniform will be provided
• Client-facing role
• Candidate will be working as part of a team with 2 other technicians
• Must meet physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and the ability to carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more
• Overtime expected when systems go down
• Background check required: CBRE Safety Specific - with drug screen & MVR
