Business Banking Relationship Manager

The role cultivates, builds and manages relationships with a portfolio of small business clients to create a pipeline of new business and increase BMO’s market share. Responsibilities Develop sales strategies to attract new business clients and expand existing relationships. Identify opportunities, refer to colleagues, and generate appointments to grow business results. Maintain and execute a business plan, including relationship management strategies, to achieve customer retention objectives. Cross‑sell additional products and services to meet customer needs and grow wallet share. Build and maintain long‑term profitable relationships, expanding wallet share within the assigned portfolio. Respond to inquiries and provide accurate information on business banking products and services. Analyze data and strategic problems, delivering insights and recommendations. Monitor and track performance, addressing any issues that arise. Coordinate database management ensuring data governance and integration standards. Lead or participate in change management activities, including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management and evaluation. Support implementation of operational programs and execute work to deliver timely, accurate service. Apply risk management framework and ethical standards to prevent loss and maintain regulatory compliance. Act independently on complex tasks, making judgmental decisions aligned with business strategy and regulatory requirements. Qualifications 4–6 years of relevant experience and a post‑secondary degree or equivalent experiential education. Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and assess creditworthiness. Comprehensive knowledge of business banking products, lending processes and loan documentation. Substantial experience in customer sales and service. Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience. In‑depth verbal and written communication skills. In‑depth collaboration and team skills. In‑depth analytical and problem‑solving skills. In‑depth influence skills. In‑depth data‑driven decision‑making capabilities. Salary 63,300.00 – 117,200.00 (Salaried). Salary may vary based on location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications. It may include a commission structure.
