Legal Billing Specialist

Overview Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm with locations across 15 countries, has an opportunity for a Legal Billing Specialist to join the Revenue Management Department. This role is based in the Boston office and reports to the Billing Manager of Revenue Management. The candidate must be flexible to work overtime as needed. Position Summary The Legal Billing Specialist will be responsible for the full life cycle of the invoice preparation process, ensuring invoices are accurate, compliant with client requirements, and submitted in a timely manner. This role requires strong analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent communication to liaise with attorneys, clients, and administrative staff. Key Responsibilities Edits prebills via Prebill Viewer and Aderant based on requests from Billing Attorneys. Generates a high volume of complex client invoices via Aderant. Ensures invoices comply with billing guidelines and include all required supporting documentation prior to submission. Submits e-bills via EHub with all supporting documentation. Monitors and addresses invoice rejections, reductions, and appeals. Responds to billing inquiries. Undertakes special projects and ad hoc reports as needed. Qualifications Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), professional demeanor, and presentation. Ability to prioritize workload and adapt to a fast-paced environment. Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision and take a proactive approach in a team setting. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Takes initiative and exercises good judgment; excellent follow-up skills. Proactive in identifying billing issues and providing solutions. Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships within all levels of the firm. Education & Experience Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance. Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Legal Biller. Technology Aderant or Elite/3E preferred; Prebill Viewer, E-billing Hub, Bill Blast. Proficiency in Excel required. Compensation & Benefits The expected pay range for this position is $40.86-$46.46 per hour. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
