Employment and Labor Associate

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Employment and Labor Associate to join their team in Short Hills, NJ. The ideal candidate will possess 2-6 years of experience in employment practice, with a strong foundation in employment law and litigation. This role involves working closely with partners and clients, providing legal counsel, and managing employment litigation matters. Responsibilities Provide day-to-day employment and human resources counseling for clients. Review, analyze, and draft employment agreements, handbooks, and policies. Handle employment litigation, including single-plaintiff and class action lawsuits. Take and defend depositions, manage discovery, and draft motions. Advise on traditional labor and NLRB matters. Conduct due diligence in mergers and acquisitions. Formulate legal strategies for litigation matters. Work on internal investigations and other matters as needed. Requirements 2-6 years of employment litigation and counseling experience. Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the practicing state. Trial experience is a plus. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Bar admission in the practicing state. Skills Exceptional writing, analytical, and communication skills.
