Employment Litigation Associate - Midlevel

Job Overview A law firm seeks a midlevel associate to join its Employment practice in Los Angeles, California. The associate will handle complex employment litigation matters for employers across various industries, including single‑plaintiff claims, wage and hour class actions, and workplace investigations. Duties Manage and support all phases of employment litigation in state and federal courts. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation‑related documents. Conduct legal research and develop case strategy. Take and defend depositions, including party and witness depositions. Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances. Collaborate with clients on employment counseling and risk management issues. Work closely with partners and litigation teams on high‑profile and complex matters. Contribute to business development and client relationship initiatives. Requirements JD from an accredited law school. Admission to practice in California. 3–5 years of relevant employment litigation experience. Experience handling California employment law matters. Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Excellent oral advocacy and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple assignments and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment. Prior experience at a law firm or sophisticated in‑house legal department preferred. Commitment to delivering exceptional client service and working collaboratively with colleagues. Education JD from an accredited law school. Certifications Admission to practice in California.
