Job Overview

A Barricade Company is seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to join our team as Traffic Control Flaggers. This position is responsible for safely directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic through construction zones while protecting workers, motorists, and the public.

No experience necessary! We are willing to train motivated individuals who have a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.

Job Responsibilities

• Direct and control traffic safely through construction work zones.
• Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control signs, cones, barricades, and other equipment.
• Use STOP/SLOW paddles and approved hand signals to control traffic.
• Follow approved Traffic Control Plans (TCPs) and company safety procedures.
• Communicate with crew members, supervisors, and Dispatch using two-way radios.
• Monitor traffic conditions and identify potential safety hazards.
• Assist with loading and unloading traffic control equipment.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area.
• Follow all company policies and supervisor instructions.

Job Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have reliable transportation to work.
• Ability to work outdoors in Arizona heat and varying weather conditions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
• Ability to obtain required flagger certification before performing flagging duties.
