Industrial Maintenance Technician

Industrial Maintenance Technician's Needed 1st & 3rd $28-34/hr!

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in inspecting equipment for defects, determining repair strategies to minimize production interruptions, and advising on necessary shutdowns or temporary operations. You will dismantle, clean, repair, replace, install, maintain, assemble, and lubricate mechanical equipment while ensuring optimal functionality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment for defects such as wear, misalignment, and insufficient lubrication.
• Determine and implement the best repair methods to minimize production interruptions.
• Advise on immediate shutdowns to prevent equipment damage or suggest temporary continued operation when safe.
• Dismantle, clean, repair, replace, install, maintain, assemble, and lubricate mechanical equipment.
• Erect scaffolds, hoists, and chain falls as required.
• Make both temporary and permanent repairs to equipment.
• Assemble and align gears, bearings, and shafts, including piping, valves, and fittings.
• Fabricate, install, replace, repair, and insulate piping, valves, and fittings.
• Fabricate, install, patch, and insulate sheet metal ducts and chutes, adjusting dampers as needed.
• Operate machine tools such as drill presses, pipe threading machines, and power saws.
• Perform approved electric and gas welding tasks.
• Troubleshoot issues with timers, relays, motor starters, and other electrical components.
• Babbitt and scrap bearings as required.
• Adjust equipment, dampers, and valves for proper operation.
• Change, set up, and adjust a wide variety of equipment.
• Maintain records of adjustments, repairs, and spare parts used.
• Layout and fabricate structural members, plates, pressure vessels, and miscellaneous equipment.
• Perform basic maintenance on mobile equipment.
• Conduct miscellaneous mechanical work required to maintain the plant.
• Ensure the job site is cleaned after completion, and return materials, tools, and equipment to proper storage.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical maintenance.
• Skilled in maintenance repair, electrical troubleshooting, and maintenance mechanics.
• Experience in maintenance production and troubleshooting electrical issues.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clarksville, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
