Overview Company Industry: Energy Technology ( Nuclear Site ) Job Function: Engineering Due to nuclear site access and export-controlled project requirements, this role requires candidates to be willing to work on W2. Position Summary We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to provide Design Liaison Engineering (DLE) support for manufacturing operations, with a primary focus on rotor and unit assembly. This role partners closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve production issues, improve product quality, and support continuous process improvements. Responsibilities Review, evaluate, and develop engineering solutions for manufacturing issues. Perform engineering analysis using hand calculations, CAD models, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and other engineering evaluation tools. Support Design Liaison Engineering (DLE) initiatives focused on reducing manufacturing defects and improving engineering definitions and production processes. Revise engineering drawings, specifications, and related technical documentation as needed. Conduct technical reviews to determine appropriate rework methods and establish acceptance criteria for nonconforming hardware. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure timely issue resolution. Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Proficiency with CAD software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications. Familiarity with engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and industry standards. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
