Accounting Clerk | Career Opportunity Giles Automotive | Lafayette, LA We are seeking a highly detail oriented Dealership Accounting Clerk to support financial record keeping, document management and accuracy, and compliance related paperwork. You will support and assist our Controller with a variety of both accounting and administrative tasks. What We Offer Competitive Pay: Based on experience Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with no weekends Stable Environment: Organized processes and a group that values accuracy Support: Work alongside a collaborative, award-winning management team Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan with annual company contributions Primary Responsibilities Research and resolve accounting schedule discrepancies Perform account, bank, and parts statement reconciliations Maintain organized records of sales, payments, warranties, and service contracts Assist with month-end closing entries Support special accounting projects and daily department operations Verify all documents for accuracy and signatures Coordinate with lenders, customers, and internal departments to facilitate the completion of vehicle transaction records Who We Are Looking For Minimum of three years in an accounting‑related role Automotive accounting and Title Work experience are a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and collaborate with staff at all levels Solid computer and written communication skills Must be able to pass required drug screening Core Values INTEGRITY: The highest standards of honesty, integrity, and sincerity EXCELLENCE: A continuous drive for excellence and self‑improvement PROACTIVE RESPONSIBILITY: Dependable & proactively responsible for areas of influence.
