Commercial HVAC/R Foodservice Equipment Technician

Job Description

Job Description

What’s In It For You?

• The Ride: Company service truck provided (no wear and tear on your personal vehicle).
• The Security: Competitive hourly pay with an Annual Performance Bonus because we believe in sharing the wins.
• Health & Wellness: Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage.
• The Future: 401(k) retirement plan and Company-paid Life/AD&D insurance.
• Time Off: 2 weeks of paid vacation/PTO (earned after 1 year) to rest and recharge.
• The Schedule: Standard Monday to Friday shift with a rotating weekend on-call schedule so you can actually plan your life.

The Opportunity : Why Regency?

Let’s be honest: most HVAC jobs are the same on paper. You turn wrenches, chase electrical gremlins, and deal with hot/cold calls.

At Regency Commercial Services , we do things differently. We are a tight-knit, small team where your expertise actually matters. You aren't just an employee ID number dispatched by an algorithm; you are a critical part of our daily operation. Because we handle both high-performing HVAC systems and commercial restaurant kitchen equipment (hot and cold side), no two days are the same.

If you are a skilled troubleshooter who thrives on variety, hates being micro-managed, and wants to be recognized directly for your hard work—our annual success-sharing bonus means our success is your success.

What You'll Be Doing Day-to-Day

You will be the face of Regency on-site, acting as a true mechanical problem-solver. Your territory will span our regional commercial and restaurant accounts, keeping their vital systems up, running, and efficient.

• Own the Diagnosis & Repair: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration units (cold side), and commercial kitchen/cooking equipment (hot side).
• System Installations & Upgrades: Install new HVAC systems, electrical components, and food-service units safely and to spec.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled inspections, test electrical wiring, optimize system performance, and handle routine maintenance to maximize equipment uptime for our clients.
• Document Your Work: Keep clean, accurate, paper-based maintenance logs of work completed and parts used.
• Be a Partner to the Client: Communicate clearly with restaurant managers and facility operators so they know exactly what was fixed and why.

What We Are Looking For

The Absolute Must-Haves:

• EPA Section 608 Certification (required for handling refrigerants).
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (to operate the company truck).
• The "Road Warrior" Mentality: Willingness to travel regionally to client sites across Western MA, Connecticut, and Upstate NY.

The Ideal Profile (Preferred):

• Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC/R or commercial kitchen equipment maintenance/installation. (We will also consider sharp, motivated entry-level candidates with high mechanical aptitude!).
• Diagnostic Mindset: Strong understanding of electrical wiring, refrigeration principles, and mechanical systems. You don't just swap parts; you find the root cause.
• Problem-Solvers: Ability to work independently in both indoor and outdoor environments, manage your time effectively, and handle safety protocols without hand-holding.

Ready to build something better?

If you're ready to escape the corporate grind, drive a well-stocked company truck, and work with a team that actually has your back, we want to talk to you.
