Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)

36 guaranteed hours per week with every other weekend required. No blocked scheduling.

Job Description

The ER Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. This role requires expertise in managing critically ill patients and various emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and manage heart rhythm changes (dysrhythmias).
• Provide care for critically ill patients with multi-organ issues.
• Administer blood products and manage central lines.
• Start and maintain IVs, administer IV sedation and vasopressors.
• Caring for stroke (CVA) and ventilated patients.
• Manage BiPAP/CPAP and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs).
• Adhere to isolation precautions and perform triage duties.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1.5 years of nursing experience.
• At least 2 years of recent ER experience is required.
• Active state nursing license required (either NY or compact).
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS.
