This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to build a long-term career in manufacturing. In this role, you will operate production equipment, prepare and process steel materials used for large-scale construction projects, and rotate through various production tasks. You’ll work as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.No experience with every machine is required. Training will be provided for employees who bring a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn.ResponsibilitiesOperate production machinery and fabrication equipment safely and efficientlyPrepare, cut, process, and assemble steel materials according to specificationsOperate or train on equipment such as shears, presses, saws, and other production machineryUse tape measures and basic measuring tools to verify dimensions and accuracyUse hand and power tools to complete production and assembly workRotate between different workstations and production responsibilities as neededPerform material handling, packing, fabrication, and general labor dutiesAssist with organizing materials, cleanup, and maintaining production areasWork closely with team members to meet daily production and quality goalsFollow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work areaAdapt to changing production needs and work required overtime when scheduledQualificationsPrevious manufacturing, production, construction, general labor, or machine operating experience is preferredBasic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand and power toolsAbility to read and accurately use a tape measureAbility and willingness to learn how to operate production machineryComfortable performing physical, fast-paced work throughout the shiftStrong teamwork skills and a positive attitudeDependable attendance and reliable work habitsWillingness to learn multiple positions and rotate between production tasksAbility to work safely in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environmentMust be comfortable working 2nd shift after completing trainingMust be flexible and available for mandated overtime, including extended shifts and occasional SaturdaysSchedule & TrainingNew employees will train on 1st shift for approximately 14 weeks before transitioning to the regular 2nd-shift schedule.Regular 2nd Shift:MondayThursday: 4:00 PM 12:30 AMFriday: 3:00 PM 11:30 PM** Overtime may be mandatory based on production needs. When overtime is scheduled, employees must be open to 10-hour shifts, occasional Saturdays, and working as late as approximately 2:30 AM. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
