Cardiovascular Ultrasound Tech III- Per Diem, Days (ECHO), Morristown NJ

Responsibilities Performs comprehensive ultrasound exams following established protocols to verify, plan, set up, perform, and report examinations. Verifies patient identity, provides education, ensures cooperation and safety, and assists in quality assurance and performance improvement. Completes clerical tasks associated with ultrasound tests, records all testing information accurately and promptly reports critical results. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality. Communicates with physicians, patients and other center personnel in a pleasant and informative manner. Makes recommendations to supervisor regarding duties, policies and procedures. Enhances teamwork by showing motivation, enthusiasm, accountability, engaging in problem‑solving, seeking assistance when needed, accepting suggestions, demonstrating the impact of individual performance on the team, and mentoring others. Maintains a clean, orderly work area by cleaning patient areas after use, assisting in lab cleanliness, notifying supervisor of stocking or equipment issues, handling lab opening and closing procedures, and maintaining equipment according to infection control policies. Identifies learning needs, attends in‑services, lab and departmental meetings, strives for proficiency improvement, and suggests new or more efficient techniques and processes. Position Details Echo Sonographer III Includes skills of Sonographer levels I & II and protocol‑directed/research protocols. Consistently takes initiative to develop professionally, maintains a positive attitude and increased engagement, shifts focus from internal to external teams, demonstrates a high‑reliability organization culture by identifying patient safety issues, and seeks new technology. Functions as ASE member, conference attendee, preceptor, educator, presenter, shared governance participant, IAC assister, QI initiative contributor, and completes CVT PACT. Vascular Technician III Performing graft surveillance, arterial duplex, and/or pseudo‑aneurysm and fistula surveillance. Engages in professional development, positive attitude, increased engagement, and safety focus. Acts as SVU member, IAC assister, preceptor, educational activity facilitator, professional presenter, shared governance committee member, and QI initiatives contributor. Completes CVT PACT.
