This assignment places you in a hospital-based EP Lab as part of a travel nursing team. The role supports multiple patient populations (inpatient, outpatient, ICU) with a focus on electrophysiology procedures and post-procedure care. You may be required to participate in call and may float to an outpatient facility as needed. EPIC EMR experience within the last two years is required, along with a proven track record in high-volume EP labs.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the EP Lab during electrophysiology procedures, including monitoring vital signs and patient status.
- Manage or assist with EP studies; ensure correct setup of procedural equipment and sterile technique.
- Monitor electrocardiographic tracings (EKG recognition) and respond to intra-procedural changes under physician orders.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EPIC EMR, including procedural notes, medications, and post-procedure care instructions.
- Administer and/or prepare medications and contrast as directed; obtain IV access and maintain IV lines as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and nurses to ensure patient safety and efficient workflow; assist with post-procedure recovery when applicable.
- Provide patient education and discharge instructions tailored to EP lab patients; coordinate with outpatient services if float occurs.

Requirements
- Certifications: BLS required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of EP Lab nursing experience; EPIC EMR experience within the last 2 years
- Skills: EKG recognition; proficient IV placement and line management; ability to manage anesthetic and monitoring equipment common to EP procedures
- Environment: Ability to work in a high-acuity EP Lab setting with potential float to outpatient facilities; ability to respond to calls as needed
- General: Must be able to work the 10-hour day shift schedule and participate in the listed assignment requirements
