Job Overview A law firm seeks a Pre‑Litigation Attorney in Los Angeles, CA. The attorney will work within the Personal Injury department, collaborating with Workers' Compensation and other departments. This role involves managing pre‑litigation cases, negotiating settlements, and preparing legal documents to ensure optimal client outcomes. Duties Oversee and manage up to 250 pre‑litigation matters with case managers. Assist in the management of medical treatment for pre‑litigation cases. Direct investigations on pre‑litigation and potential litigation matters. Provide guidance to case managers and approve case‑related decisions. Negotiate pre‑litigation settlements and evaluate case valuations. Identify and retain necessary medical and legal experts. Supervise up to five pre‑litigation case managers. Maintain communication with clients and staff throughout the claim process. Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents for court filings. Participate in depositions, mediations, and court appearances. Prepare for arbitration and trial, and conduct monthly file reviews. Requirements Juris Doctorate degree and active CA State Bar membership. Minimum three years of experience in a Personal Injury law firm. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Familiarity with Workers' Compensation terminology. Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred. Education Juris Doctorate degree. Certifications Active membership with the California State Bar. Skills Knowledge of medical and legal experts, mediators, and judges. Ability to negotiate settlements and manage medical liens.
