Head of Growth

One Red Chair

Overview One Red Chair is a practical learning platform focused on helping people build useful skills through clear, actionable guides and courses. We are looking for a growth-minded leader who can help bring the platform to the right audiences, build traction, and turn early momentum into a repeatable growth engine. Role Overview One Red Chair is hiring a Head of Growth to help lead customer acquisition, audience development, partnerships, and revenue growth. This is a hands-on role for someone who can think strategically, execute quickly, test ideas, and use data to make smart decisions. The right person will be comfortable working in an early-stage environment where growth depends on focus, creativity, resourcefulness, and consistent execution. The ideal person is also an avid learner — someone who is naturally curious, enjoys building new skills, and understands why practical education matters. This role is a strong fit for someone who believes learning should be useful, accessible, and connected to real-world progress. This role is ideal for someone who understands how to build awareness, improve conversion, identify strong customer segments, and create practical growth systems without needing a large team or heavy infrastructure already in place. Responsibilities Develop and execute growth strategies that support user acquisition, revenue, and brand awareness. Identify and test the strongest customer segments, channels, and messaging opportunities. Improve positioning, landing pages, offers, and conversion paths. Plan and run growth experiments across content, email, social, partnerships, referrals, and other acquisition channels. Track performance data and turn insights into clear next steps. Support marketing campaigns that help introduce One Red Chair to new audiences. Help build repeatable systems for attracting learners, subscribers, instructors, and partners. Work directly with the founder on growth priorities, strategy, testing, and execution. Explore partnership and business development opportunities that align with the company’s goals. Stay focused on practical, measurable growth instead of vanity metrics. What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who is both strategic and hands-on. You should be able to look at a business, understand the audience, shape a clear growth plan, and then help execute it. You should be comfortable testing ideas, measuring results, and adjusting quickly based on what is actually working. You should also care about learning. The right person will be curious, adaptable, and interested in how people build skills, solve problems, and improve their work. This matters because One Red Chair is not just selling content; it is helping people make progress. This role requires strong communication, good judgment, and the ability to create structure without waiting for every answer to already exist. Qualifications Experience in growth, marketing, customer acquisition, business development, or startup go-to-market work. Strong understanding of funnels, positioning, messaging, conversion, and customer behavior. Ability to design and run practical growth experiments. Comfortable using data to evaluate performance and guide decisions. Strong writing, communication, and collaboration skills. Naturally curious and interested in learning, skill-building, and practical education. Ability to work independently and move projects forward without heavy oversight. Experience with digital products, subscriptions, online education, creators, marketplaces, SaaS, or content-driven businesses is helpful. Experience with SEO, email marketing, LinkedIn, paid acquisition, partnerships, referral programs, or community growth is a plus. Startup or early-stage company experience is strongly preferred. Are comfortable with testing, learning, and adjusting. Know how to turn broad goals into practical action. Care about useful learning and real-world skill development. Are resourceful, direct, and comfortable working closely with a founder. Want to have a meaningful role in shaping the growth of a new company. This Role Is Probably Not a Fit If You You only want to manage an established marketing department. You need a large team, large budget, or fully built growth engine to be effective. You prefer long planning cycles over quick testing and execution. You are only focused on paid ads. You are not personally curious about learning, skill-building, or practical education.
