ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Program Representation & Employer BrandingServe as the primary representative of the Apprentice Program, promoting Hanwha Philly Shipyard’s values, culture, and career opportunities.Partner with Communications and Marketing to implement targeted social media campaigns and employer branding initiatives.Represent the company at career fairs, school events, community job expos, apprenticeship events, and local presentations to promote skilled trades and apprentice careers.Talent Sourcing & Pipeline ManagementBuild and maintain strong partnerships with trade schools, high schools, vocational programs, community colleges, workforce development boards, and participate in school advisory boards and competitions to support talent pipelines.Utilize a blend of digital platforms, community outreach, and referral networks to source and recruit skilled tradespeople and apprentices.Build and nurture talent pipelines by proactively engaging passive and active candidates through text, video, social media, and direct outreach.Create and post compelling job descriptions across internal and external channels to attract qualified candidates.Recruitment Coordination & Candidate ExperienceCoordinate cohort interview scheduling, yard tours, pre-employment testing, and candidate follow-up to ensure completeness and accuracy of application materials.Deliver a positive candidate experience with clear, timely, and professional communication throughout the recruitment process.Leverage ATS, and recruitment automation tools to streamline hiring processes, candidate tracking, and communication.Selection & HiringEvaluate candidate qualifications, skills, and cultural fit to make informed hiring recommendations.Prepare and extend verbal and written employment offers in compliance with company policies.Onboarding & ReportingLead onboarding planning and execution in collaboration with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless integration of new hires.Track, analyze, and report recruitment metrics and provide regular status updates to leadership.Compliance & Continuous ImprovementEnsure all recruitment activities comply with federal, state, and local employment laws, industry standards, and company policies.Stay current on skilled trades recruitment best practices, and workforce development trends to continuously improve program effectiveness.Uphold and promote safety policies and standards in all recruitment and candidate engagement activities.Perform additional duties as assigned.QualificationsRequired:Confident in representing the company at events and delivering engaging presentations to groups.Professional presence and ability to represent the company internally and externally with credibility and enthusiasm.Proficiency with digital communication tools, social media platforms, and applicant tracking systems (ATS).Creative and resourceful in identifying new opportunities to enhance employer brand awareness on campus.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Willingness and ability to travel up to 15–25% for school visits, career fairs and recruitment events.Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for recruitment events as needed.COMPETENCIESAbility to build and maintain strong relationships with educational institutions, community organizations, and internal stakeholders.Proficient in digital communication tools, social media platforms, and recruitment technologies.Adaptable to dynamic environments with shifting priorities.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage students, faculty, community partners and other key partners.Critical thinker with effective problem-solving abilities.Self-motivated and proactive.High energy and passion for recruitment and workforce development.Committed to continuous learning and improvement.Demonstrates integrity and professionalism with confidential information.Collaborative team player who can also work independently.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Education, or related field preferred.0-2 years of experience working in recruiting, workforce development, community engagement programs, skill trades or early career programs.Proficient in MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Job SummaryRequisition Number: TALEN002368Job Category: Non-UnionSchedule: Full-Time
