Support students and educators in a vibrant educational setting as a dedicated paraprofessional. This contract opportunity is perfect for individuals passionate about fostering student growth, collaborating closely with teachers, and making a daily difference in the classroom. You’ll work alongside experienced staff in an engaging school environment near Oakland, CA, assisting learners in reaching their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience working with children or in an educational environment preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional related coursework or certification is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Patience, empathy, and a supportive approach to working with students of varying abilities
- Ability to assist with instructional activities as directed by certified teachers
- Background clearance as required by school policies
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional and behavioral support to individual students and in small groups
- Assist teachers with classroom management tasks and preparation of educational materials
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom climate
- Support students with special needs in both academic and social settings
- Aid in tracking student progress and communicating observations to staff
- Supervise students during classroom and non-classroom activities as needed
