Position Summary

The Service Advisor serves as the primary liaison between our guests and the service department, ensuring every customer receives an exceptional Mercedes-Benz ownership experience. This role requires outstanding communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a commitment to delivering personalized service while effectively managing repair orders from write-up through vehicle delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver a first-class customer experience by serving as the primary point of contact throughout the service visit.
• Greet guests promptly and professionally while building trust and long-term relationships.
• Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle symptoms and repair requests.
• Prepare detailed and accurate repair orders in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Recommend maintenance and repair services based on Mercedes-Benz factory guidelines, technician inspections, and customer needs.
• Clearly explain recommended services, repair priorities, pricing, and expected completion timelines.
• Coordinate with technicians, parts personnel, warranty administrators, and management to ensure efficient workflow and timely vehicle completion.
• Maintain proactive communication by providing customers with regular updates regarding vehicle status, approvals, and estimated completion times.
• Review completed repairs with customers, explaining work performed and maintenance recommendations in a professional and easy-to-understand manner.
• Identify opportunities to increase customer retention, service sales, and Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) performance through exceptional communication and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate records while ensuring compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer requirements, and California regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.

Successful candidates will possess:

• Previous dealership Service Advisor experience required
• Mercedes-Benz dealership experience preferred
• Outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong sales aptitude with the ability to confidently present maintenance and repair recommendations
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple repair orders simultaneously
• Knowledge of dealership service operations, warranty procedures, and repair order documentation
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Positive attitude, professional appearance, and strong work ethic
• Ability to work collaboratively with technicians, management, and support staff
• Passion for creating exceptional customer experiences and building long-term relationships

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous automotive dealership Service Advisor experience required
• Mercedes-Benz experience preferred
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with dealership management systems such as Reynolds & Reynolds and MyKaarma preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment

Compensation

Expected Annual Earnings: $70,000–$240,000+

Compensation consists of a competitive commission-based pay plan. In accordance with California law, employees are paid at least minimum wage for all applicable non-sales duties, rest periods, and other compensable time. High-performing Service Advisors have the opportunity to earn well above the stated range based on productivity, customer satisfaction, sales performance, and overall results.
