Restaurant General Manager

GENERAL MANAGER – RESTAURANT & BAR

Busy, upscale restaurant and bar seeking an experienced General Manager with a strong background in bar operations, beverage management, and hospitality leadership.

We are looking for a hands-on, energetic leader who understands that a great restaurant starts with great people, exceptional service, and strong attention to the details that drive profitability.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience managing a high-volume craft cocktail bar and restaurant , with a proven understanding of food and beverage sales, food & liquor cost controls, inventory, staff development, guest relations, and day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversee daily restaurant and bar operations

• Lead, train, schedule, and motivate front-of-house staff

• Drive beverage and overall restaurant sales

• Manage bar inventory, ordering, and beverage costs

• Monitor labor, food, and beverage costs

• Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and hospitality

• Develop and maintain relationships with guests and vendors

• Handle guest concerns professionally and effectively

• Work closely with ownership to achieve operational and financial goals

• Ensure compliance with all applicable liquor and health regulations

• Create a positive, professional, and accountable workplace culture

Ideal Candidate:

• 5+ years of restaurant management experience preferred

• Strong bar/beverage management experience required

• Experience in a high-volume restaurant, lounge, or bar environment

• Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, beer, and wine

• Proven ability to control costs and improve profitability

• Excellent leadership and communication skills

• Highly organized and detail-oriented

• Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Hands-on management style with a genuine passion for hospitality

• Strong understanding of POS systems, scheduling, inventory, and restaurant operations
