IT SPECIALIST (APPLICATION SOFTWARE)

Summary You will serve as an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (APPLICATIONS SOFTWARE) in the TECHNOLOGY SERVICES ORGANIZATION of HQ US MARINE CORPS. Responsibilities You will work with a specialized group of programmers on complex, multi-faceted prototype systems, such as leading a multi-functional development project in software analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation. You will update and modify existing applications, design new applications, and perform testing and maintenance of automation programs. You will resolve critical issues affecting the configuration of the information technology infrastructure. You will participate in design and development stages of software being developed internally and under contract. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Administering, documenting, and supporting middleware systems in collaboration with developer teams and customers throughout the software development lifecycle. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
