Job Title

Registered Nurse – Telemetry / Oncology

Location

Greenville, NC | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3 x 12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required | 3 out of 4 holidays required within schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to primarily adult patients with hematologic or oncologic concerns, immunocompromised status, radiation complications, cardiac arrhythmias, and single and/or multi-system complications
• Independently analyze and interpret cardiac rhythms — unit is not monitored by monitor technicians
• Administer chemotherapy and manage continuous infusion medications, including cardiac drips, insulin, and heparin
• Perform and assist with complex clinical skills including central line care, wound VAC dressing changes, wound drain management, tracheotomy care, and chest tube management
• Perform IV starts, peripheral lab draws, and arterial blood draws
• Utilize ancillary staff and participate in self-scheduling within a 6-week schedule framework

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (Compact license accepted)
• BLS certification – American Heart Association
• ACLS certification – American Heart Association
• Minimum 1 year of Telemetry or relevant RN experience
• Must pass EKG exam and Pharmacology exam prior to start (during compliance process)
• At least 1 professional reference required from entire work history
• All time-off requests must be negotiated and approved prior to contract confirmation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) Certification preferred
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records
• Background in oncology, hematology, or immunocompromised patient populations
• Experience with complex fluid and medication management including pain management protocols
