What You ll Do:
Provide direct medical care to hospitalized patients, including admissions, daily rounds, and dischargesEvaluate, diagnose, and manage a variety of acute and chronic conditionsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including specialists and primary care providersCoordinate care plans and ensure smooth patient transitionsOrder and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic testsRespond to emergencies, including codes and rapid response situationsManage ventilators for critical patientsDocument all patient interactions thoroughly in the EMRParticipate in hospital committees, quality initiatives, and team meetingsEducate patients and families on diagnoses and treatment plansEnsure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations
What You Need:
MD or DO degree, board-certified or board-eligible in hospital medicineValid medical license for Vermont or eligible for license in VTAt least 2 years of hospitalist experience preferred, but new grads encouragedExcellent communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment
