About the Role
The Company is in search of an Associate Vice President for State Markets Operations and Strategy. This senior leadership role is pivotal in overseeing centralized processes and tools that serve as the central hub for state-level information, ensuring accurate and up-to-date insights are shared across the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and pursuing peak policy and business strategies, influencing strategic decisions, and guiding investment priorities. Collaboration with various teams, including state strategy, marketing, sales, and product, is essential to design and drive effective state market operations and strategy. The role also involves serving as a visionary thought leader, understanding state market requirements, and preparing for state list awards. Applicants must possess deep knowledge of the state assessment and instructional materials market, the K-12 education landscape, and current curriculum and assessment trends. The role requires a proven ability to work creatively and analytically, manage ambiguity, and be an expert in project management tools. Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills are a must. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, 5-10 years' of experience in management of cross-functional edtech/digital and/or assessment programs, and familiarity with state education policy. A PMP, experience with product management, and an MBA or MA in a relevant field are preferred. The role demands a strategic thinker with the ability to synthesize complex information and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
