DESCRIPTION:
Join our team as a Market Development Specialist II, where you'll implement technology scouting initiatives for our businesses. In this role, you'll develop and execute a global technology scouting effort that builds awareness of Thermo Fisher as a commercial partner of choice, and generate external innovator engagement. Working within our collaborative organization, you'll partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate opportunities, facilitate InnoP engagement with external innovators, track and report on market trends in specific areas of interest, support internal website based marketing of InnoP resources and capabilities company wide, create web content to reflect ongoing InnoP activities, drive federal reporting of inventions and assist with process development for in- / out- licensing.

Your contributions will include working closely with InnoP and CSO office team members, create a robust process for evaluating web based technology submissions, update the technology areas of focus, and carry out other tasks and projects as may be assigned from time to time.

This is an onsite position for hire in our Carlsbad, CA site.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's Degree with some experience in a company environtment)
• Preferred Fields of Study: Life Sciences or related field
• Additional relevant certifications are advantageous
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to optimize efforts

• Strong business acumen and customer-focused mindset
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative organization
• Proficiency with databases such as Deal Cloud, Wellspring Scout etc
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
• Travel up to 5-10% for work-related activities
• Detail-oriented with ability to work independently
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $66,000.00–$82,100.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
