Senior Operations Manager

Senior Operations Manager Responsible for all budgetary, people development, and operations objectives at the site. Oversees and leads a team of Operations and Area Managers, coaching and mentoring to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations, and developing leadership bench strength within the Fulfillment Center. Responsibilities Drives creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Lean initiatives to enable the functional area and the FC to meet and exceed the business plan. Responsible for overall safety, quality, performance, and customer experience of either Inbound or Outbound operations. Sets and clarifies requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers, measures performance, provides feedback, and holds Ops Managers accountable. Leverages Operations and Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas, incorporating them into improvement plans for the functional area. Proactively ensures best practices are shared across all departments, shifts, and among the network. Works closely with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in their area, and provides needed support for other staff initiatives. Additional Job Elements Lifting and moving totes up to 49 pounds each. Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head. Walking in the FC and around the area frequently; facilities are over a quarter mile in length. Continual standing and/or walking an average of 5 miles daily. Ability to work in construction/distribution environments that may be noisy, unlit, unheated, and not air‑conditioned. Access to all areas of the building, including ascending and descending ladders and stairs safely. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications Interest in long‑term career development through assignments in multiple FCs across the nation. Benefits and Compensation The base salary range for this position is USD 135,000.00 – 182,700.00 annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
