About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished sales professional to serve as Global Account Director (GAD), with a primary focus on clients in the technology, cloud, and semiconductor industries across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. Drawing on extensive logistics and road transport experience, you will identify, develop, and win new business with defined target clients, delivering national and international road transport solutions that create measurable value for customers and sustainable growth for the business. 

Your industry expertise will mainly strengthen our partnerships with existing technology clients. You will support account managers during strategic client visits, uncover road transport opportunities, and coordinate the subsequent design and development of customer-specific solutions with commercial and operational teams. 

In alignment with the Tech Vertical organization you will also point at companies in the fast growing technology industry, that are not yet customers of DSV, but hold potential to become significant accounts in Road and other divisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a targeted business development strategy for technology, cloud, and semiconductor clients across the United States, Mexico, and Canada for the Road division.

• Build a qualified pipeline of new national and cross-border road transport opportunities with the defined target accounts. 

• Lead the full sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, solution development, commercial positioning, negotiation, and conversion. 

• Translate complex customer supply chain needs into practical, scalable, and commercially sound road transport solutions. 

• Partner closely with operations, pricing, solution design, tender management, and other internal stakeholders to develop competitive proposals. 

• Support account managers serving existing technology clients during customer visits, opportunity reviews, and the development of expanded road transport solutions. 

• Build trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders and position the organization as a strategic logistics partner. 

• Maintain disciplined pipeline management, accurate forecasting, and timely opportunity updates in the CRM. 

• Represent the business at customer meetings, industry events, and other external activities that advance road transport growth. 

• Ensure a coordinated handoff to implementation, operations, and account management following a successful sale. 

What We Expect from You

• Several years of progressive experience in road transport logistics, with a deep understanding of domestic and international road transport processes. 

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with operational departments and other internal experts to design effective customer solutions. 

• Strong business development and consultative selling capability, ideally supported by a proven track record with clients in the high-tech, cloud, or semiconductor industries. 

• Established sales references and evidence of winning and growing complex customer relationships. 

• High motivation to achieve defined road transport business development targets through effective external market activity and strong internal collaboration. 

• Commercial acumen, including the ability to understand pricing, profitability, customer value, and negotiation trade-offs. 

• Executive-level communication, presentation, relationship-building, and influencing skills. 

• Strong planning, prioritization, pipeline-management, and forecasting discipline. 

• Ability to work effectively across countries, functions, and cultures in a matrixed environment. 

• Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

For this position, the expected base pay range is $120,000.00 – $180,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
