Come save lives. Come grow with us. (4 shifts per week) Day (6 am–2:30 pm) and Mid (2 pm–10:30 pm) Shift. Role Overview This Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) works under the supervision of the nursing department and is responsible for the direct care of inpatient and residential patients by providing patient supervision and support. The BHT provides support, structure, and boundaries, offers bathroom and meal support, and contributes to therapeutic programming. On‑call shifts may be required based on business needs in accordance with applicable labor laws. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Milieu management, including: Maintains daily program structure by following the program schedule Completes observation rounds and safety checks as ordered by a physician Works with patients on de‑escalation and implements coping skills per treatment plan Conducts room and luggage searches Takes patients out on fresh‑air breaks Provides transportation for medical appointments as needed Takes vital signs and, where applicable, measures urine specific gravity Acts as secondary support staff in group therapy, where required Provides meal support and bathroom monitoring Completes documentation of patient observations, meals, and individual check‑ins during each shift Assists with morning routine and activities of daily living while patients are in spa/bathroom BHT I Must Haves High school diploma or GED (required) Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record (required for locations with company vehicles) Six months of direct patient care experience (preferred) Mental Health/Psych Tech or CNA (preferred) BHT II Must Haves High school diploma or GED (required)One year of direct patient care experience (required for new hires) Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record (required for locations with company vehicles) Mental Health/Psych Tech or CNA (preferred) Minimum of one year of ERC milieu experience (required for internal teammates) Compensation Washington Pay Range: $22.32 – $25.58 per hour. Compensation is based on candidate experience and market expectations.
