IT Asset Manager

(MTSI) is seeking a detail-oriented IT Asset Management (ITAM) Specialist to support an advanced air platform program. This role involves overseeing the lifecycle management of IT assets, ensuring compliance with DoD standards, optimizing IT investments, and maintaining operational efficiency for mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in tracking, managing, and reporting IT assets to support high-impact defense programs. Responsibilities Asset Lifecycle Management Maintain and manage the full lifecycle of IT assets (hardware, software, licenses, and cloud services), including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and decommission. Track and update IT asset information in inventory tools and systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera, IBM Maximo). Inventory Control Conduct regular audits of IT asset inventories to ensure data accuracy. Monitor inventory levels to anticipate future needs and minimize disruptions. Compliance and Licensing Ensure that software licensing aligns with DoD regulations, vendor agreements, and cybersecurity requirements. Monitor asset compliance with NIST frameworks, RMF guidelines, and organizational policies. Assist in identifying and managing risks associated with outdated or noncompliant IT assets.
