Maintenance Supervisor

Job Overview The Utilities Supervisor is responsible for implementing, supervising the daily operation, and maintenance activities of utilities equipment at the site. The role includes day-to-day operation, maintenance and support, preventive and corrective maintenance, shutdown scheduling, vendor management, and reliability-centered maintenance. The supervisor oversees operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting while maintaining compliance with manufacturing practices, environmental health and safety guidelines, and cGMP regulations. Key Responsibilities Supervise, lead and coordinate utilities operation and maintenance shift crews. Operate and maintain utilities throughout the facility during the shift. Organize and review daily Work Orders (WO) and Preventative Maintenance (PM) work. Maintain daily communication with planning, scheduling and manufacturing counterparts. Facilitate and verify training for all employees on shift (cGMPs, safety, job skills). Coordinate workflow and documentation of PMs and WOs. Review procedures and update as necessary, maintaining SOP compliance. Ensure a safe work environment, enforce safety guidelines, and comply with GA state and federal regulations. Manage chemical inventory and maintain training files. Conduct performance dialogues with Manager and meet timelines for reviews. Analyze, propose and correct longer-term solutions for recurring problems. Inspect, monitor and assure facility equipment remains cGMP compliant. Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, EHS, engineering, vendors, security and other supervisors. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED, or bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, sciences, engineering or related field. 6+ years of related experience, including 3+ years supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of laboratory techniques, sampling, Microsoft Office, SCADA, process control software, CMMS, JDE or Maximo. Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills and ability to interact at all levels. Strong problem-solving, organizational and administrative skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing setting and prioritize responsibilities of self and direct reports. Analytical skills in interpreting scientific and statistical data. Understanding of cGMPs and regulatory guidelines applicable to the medical/pharmaceutical industry. Proficiency in operation and control of utilities equipment and processes. Work Environment and Conditions Shift work, including weekend and holiday work, 12-hour shifts with possible rotation. May require standing, climbing, handling chemicals up to 25 pounds, and working in noisy, cold, wet environments with potential exposure to sunlight, dust, gases, fumes, and chemicals. Compensation and Benefits Base salary range: $89,900 - $141,240. Actual salary may vary.
