Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, establishing personalized treatment plans based on individual needs and goals.
• Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient's condition, including hands-on therapy, exercise prescriptions, and modalities such as electrical stimulation or ultrasound.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to discuss patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to enhance outcomes.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on their conditions and the importance of adherence to treatment plans, instilling confidence and motivation.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, including progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Engage in community outreach activities to promote awareness about physical therapy services and preventative care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Miami rehabilitation center serves a diverse array of patients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgery, sports injuries, neuromuscular disorders, and other conditions requiring focused therapeutic interventions. The successful candidate will work with individuals of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics, creating tailored approaches that address specific needs and functional limitations. Establishing strong therapeutic relationships is key, as it helps foster trust and enhances patient motivation throughout their healing process.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficient communication skills and ability to build rapport with patients, families, and team members.
• Strong organizational skills to manage workload and prioritization in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Experience

While we require a minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience, candidates with additional specialties in orthopedics, pediatrics, neurology, or sports medicine will be highly regarded. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and experience in community-focused therapy practice are also advantageous.
