Role Description The Hotel Complex Director of Sales is a full-time, on-site role based in Winston-Salem, NC, responsible for leading sales efforts across a multi-property hotel complex. This role oversees the development and execution of sales strategies to drive occupancy, revenue, and market share in corporate, group, leisure, and other key segments. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing key accounts, cultivating new business opportunities, conducting site visits, preparing proposals and contracts, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, travel partners, and local organizations. The Director of Sales leads and mentors the sales team, sets performance goals, monitors results, and collaborates closely with revenue management and operations to align pricing, promotions, and service delivery. The role also involves forecasting, budgeting, reporting on sales performance, and ensuring all sales activities are consistent with brand standards and company values. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in hotel or hospitality sales leadership, preferably overseeing multiple properties or a complex environment. Strong skills in sales strategy development, account management, and new business development within corporate, group, and leisure segments. Proficiency in using hotel sales systems, CRM platforms, and revenue management tools, with the ability to interpret data and market trends. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships and influence key stakeholders. Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a sales team, including goal setting, performance management, and collaborative problem-solving. Solid organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Understanding of hotel operations, budgeting, forecasting, and the integration of sales efforts with marketing and revenue strategies. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
