Occupational Therapist School Setting in Crown Point, IN

The position covers 14 hours per week, spread across 2 days, with working hours from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM and a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Your expertise will be valuable in both Portage and Valparaiso locations, serving a diverse caseload that will keep your work dynamic and impactful.


Qualifications:

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license required
• Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly preferred
• Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborative care models
• Strong communication skills for interactions with students, families, and educational teams
• Ability to adapt strategies to individualized student needs across varied classroom environments

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students, as indicated in their IEPs
• Assess, document, and report progress toward therapeutic goals
• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Provide both individual and group interventions, adapting activities to maximize student engagement
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of sessions and student progress
