In this full-time, contract role, you’ll support drop out recovery efforts within a vibrant high school setting, helping students overcome challenges and reach critical milestones. Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience serving high school students, particularly within drop out recovery or alternative education programs
• Skill in developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and adapting curriculum to diverse learning needs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate with students, staff, and families
• Proficiency with progress monitoring, data-driven instruction, and goal setting
• Comfortable delivering services onsite and/or virtually, as opportunities arise

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and interventions aligned with students’ IEP goals
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages re-engagement and persistence
• Track student attendance, progress, and achievement, reporting results to stakeholders
• Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and administrators to support individual learner needs
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain all required documentation
• Employ creative, evidence-based strategies to keep students on track for graduation
