This full-time contract position offers an engaging opportunity for a dedicated Special Education Teacher. You’ll be instrumental in tailoring lesson plans, implementing individualized education programs, and fostering a supportive learning atmosphere for each student’s academic and personal growth.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification with a specialization in Special Education
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly grades 3-5
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage diverse learning needs with patience and creativity
• Familiarity with inclusive classroom practices

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute individualized lesson plans based on student abilities and goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure students receive the support they need
• Monitor student progress, update IEPs, and participate in meetings as required
• Create a positive classroom environment encouraging student participation and confidence
• Adapt instructional methods to accommodate a variety of learning styles
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures
