Requirements and Preferred Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Proven experience working with high school students, especially in dropout recovery or alternative education settings
• Strong understanding of IEPs, progress monitoring, and individualized instruction
• Collaborative attitude for working with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and community resources
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning needs and academic levels
• Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted instruction in accordance with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that support academic achievement and personal development
• Track student progress, conduct assessments, and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and support staff to modify curriculum and support inclusion
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
• Provide encouragement and mentorship to students, helping them build confidence and work toward graduation
