Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at an acute care hospital in Santa Rosa, CA, requiring trauma, neuro, vascular, and ortho experience along with Epic proficiency.

Job Details

• Work setting is an acute care hospital with 277 staffed beds,
• Position is in the Operating Room (OR) department,
• Trauma, neuro, vascular, and ortho cases due to the facility's trauma status,
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts with variable start times of 7:00 AM or 9:00 AM,
• Occasional night shift coverage may be required within the contract period,
• Weekend work is required,
• On-call is required and distributed equally among all nursing staff approximately every 6 weeks, potentially up to 6-8 on-call shifts per 6-week cycle (including nights, evenings, and weekends),
• Floating between all facilities within the state is required,
• Charting is performed using Epic (required),
• Scrubs are provided for OR,
• Free parking is available on-site,

Job Requirements

• Active CA RN license required (pending license not accepted),
• Current BLS certification required,
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required,
• Experience in trauma, neuro, vascular, and ortho cases required,
• Epic EMR proficiency required,
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration,
• SSN and DOB required for consideration,

• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility,
