Step into an impactful role dedicated to supporting young learners as an elementary Special Education Teacher. This full-time contract position begins August 24, 2026, and extends through June 9, 2027, offering you the opportunity to make a difference in a vibrant educational setting near Calabasas, CA.
You’ll manage a caseload of approximately 22-23 mild/moderate elementary students, providing invaluable support across two school sites on designated days. Your expertise will create a nurturing, inclusive environment where each student can thrive and reach their fullest potential.
Qualifications:
- Current, active California mild/moderate Special Education credentials (required)
- Prior experience working with mild/moderate elementary students in a special education setting highly desired
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with general education teachers, school staff, and families
- Flexible, organized, and capable of managing itinerant assignments across multiple locations
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students on your caseload
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate instructional strategies and interventions
- Provide direct instruction and classroom support to students across two school locations
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting approaches as needed
- Foster positive relationships with students and families to ensure educational success
