Requirements
Board certified
Licensed in Missouri or IMLC
BLS, ACLS, ATLS


Required Procedures / Skills
Low-risk pregnancy
High-risk pregnancy
FHR interpretation: NST, CST, and FSE
Routine delivery
Vaginal delivery
Decision-making for C-section
Complicated delivery
C-section
Multiple births
Abruptions
Surgical gynecology
Operative and major surgical gynecology, including ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, and extensive LOAs

Assignment Details
Practice setting: Inpatient and outpatient
Duties include admissions and rounding
EMR: Epic
Patients per shift: 0-8
Beds in department: 18
Average annual deliveries: 600
PA and NP support: 2
PEDs Level: 3
Around 600 deliveries annually
Support staff: 24/7 CRNA, RT 24/7, first assist surgical RN, two L&D minimum staffing increased as needed, two NICU, and one OB tech
Three midwives provide backup support as scheduled
Coverage is primarily solo
OB-GYN emergency call patient consults
