Shift is 10:30 am -7 pm with a rotation of 4/2 (4 days on- 2 days off)SummaryThe Kitchen Aide supports the cook by helping with meal preparation, serving food, cleaning up after meals, and assisting with any other tasks as needed.Responsibilities and DutiesPrepare foods and cook meals and snacks for residents according to pre-established menus and in compliance with any special dietary needs of the residentsEnsure the provision of three (3) balanced meals daily, as well as schedules snacks and assuring for the provision of any resident's special dietary needsKeep kitchen clean and orderly, including cleaning pots, pans, dishes and eating utensils after each mealAlways maintain sanitation and cleanliness in the food preparation areas and shall observe personal hygiene and food services sanitation practices to protect from food contaminationAttend any staff meetings or in service training, as requiredPrepare and restock dining rooms for next mealPerform other duties assignedQualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent, requiredCertificate in food preparation and/or culinary degree, preferredPrior experience working in food service, preferredEach employee must have a physical examination and tuberculin test performed by a physician. The tests are to be completed with results within seven (7) days after hire, unless regulations stipulate completion before employment. If the exams are not completed within this timeframe, the employee will be placed on suspension until they are completed.The Department of Social Services (DSS) licensing agency requires that LiveScan (fingerprinting) be completed on criminal convictions and be submitted for the purpose of conducting a criminal record review. The DDS will issue an approval or denial according to the criminal clearance reports.
