Registered Nurse (RN) Clinic Manager or Clinic Manager | Avera Cancer Institute

Location: Avera Cancer Institute – Mitchell; Worker Type: Regular; Work Shift: Primarily days with possible weekends/evenings/holidays (United States of America). Position Summary Clinic Manager responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the clinic, including nursing, business office, and medical staff relations. Key Responsibilities Manages, supervises, and coordinates day-to-day operations of the clinic, including financial management, budget maintenance, expense management, staffing, and services offered. Collects data, prepares reports, analyzes statistics, and answers correspondence. Identifies and reviews operational problems and resolves issues or brings them to leadership attention. Assists leadership with preparation, implementation, and monitoring of budgets and business plans. Recommends clinic facility improvements, including construction, renovation, and equipment purchase. Ensures clinic operates in support of the organization’s mission, values, and philosophies. Ensures clinic compliance with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery and accrediting bodies. Initiates changes as appropriate. Maintains open, professional communication with providers daily. Involves providers in issues that affect the clinic as appropriate. Coordinates with leadership on monitoring medical activities to ensure cost-effective and high-quality care for patients. Ensures proper credentialing and licensure are maintained. Administers staffing plan to operate clinic efficiently and cost-effectively. Resolves medical-administrative problems and keeps lines of communication open with staff to ensure high employee morale and a professional clinic atmosphere. Performs functions consistent with nursing standards and principles. Interview, hire, develop, train, and retain employees; plan, assign, and lead work; appraise performance; reward and coach employees; address complaints and resolve problems. Essential Qualifications Must be able to work the specified hours and perform each essential job function, including adequate visual acuity, effective communication, hearing, understanding, and speech discrimination. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience Registered Nurse (RN) – Board of Nursing license active in the state of practice upon hire.
