- Holiday coverage: must work 2 major holidays of the 3 (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day) and 1 minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve)

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate care to mothers and newborns during the night shift, including ongoing assessment, vital signs, postpartum monitoring, and newborn observation.
- Administer medications and therapies per physician order, and document care in the electronic medical record with accurate handoffs at shift change.
- Support lactation counseling, newborn feeding education, and family-centered teaching for postpartum recovery and newborn care.
- Monitor for changes in maternal and fetal status, respond to clinical changes, and escalate when indicated; implement safety and infection control practices.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and ancillary staff to coordinate discharge planning and post-discharge instructions.
- Maintain professional practice standards, leadership in care delivery, and adherence to unit policies during a 12-hour nocturnal schedule.

Requirements
- Current, active Registered Nurse license in Georgia
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the Mother Baby/Maternity specialty
- AHA BLS certification and NRP required
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and complete a 14-week assignment
- Must be able to work in Lawrenceville, GA and participate inHoliday coverage as described
