Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments for individual and family therapy, tailoring ongoing treatment plans as needed based on patient dynamics. Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions according to a set schedule, encouraging participation through innovative therapeutic techniques. Build and nurture therapeutic relationships with patients, ensuring all interactions maintain professional boundaries and adhere to ethical guidelines. Demonstrate cultural competence by effectively working with patients from diverse backgrounds, employing knowledge of various DSM diagnoses. Utilize psychosocial evaluations to develop individualized treatment strategies, actively collaborating with patients on their path to recovery. Document all therapy sessions meticulously, including treatment plans and patient progress reports, ensuring adherence to all medical necessity standards. Complete daily charge sheets for sessions attended to accurately reflect clinical activity. Participate proactively in weekly team meetings, contributing insights on patient progress and collaborating on treatment direction. Assist with the cultivation of Discharge Aftercare Plans to support patients post-treatment. Stay updated on advancements in mental health practices by engaging in continuous professional development through workshops, training, and seminars. Exhibit proficiency across a diverse age range, providing tailored interventions for children, transitional-age youth, adults, and seniors, always with respect for their individual needs. Patient Population / Client Focus As a Mental Health Counselor at our clinic, you will work with a wide demographic of clients, ranging from children to older adults. Your approach will need to be adaptable, considering the unique psychosocial challenges that each age group may face. You will be tasked with delivering thoughtful and sensitive care that aligns with our commitment to patient dignity and rights. Qualifications A valid, unrestricted mental health license in the state of Georgia as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). A Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related mental health field is required. Preferred Experience Previous experience in a telehealth setting is preferred, with demonstrated expertise in providing remote therapy services. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure efficient patient documentation and record-keeping would be a considerable advantage. Compensation and Benefits The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
